Andy Garcia
Andy Garcia is an office/communications assistant at the Illinois Institute for Rehabilitation and Employment Research (IIRER) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a role he began in December 2024.
Over the past nine years, Andy has called Champaign home, embracing opportunities to grow his skills in communication, marketing, and creative design. He gained valuable experience in communications through multiple positions at the Research Park at the University of Illinois, where he crafted engaging content, managed social media strategies, and collaborated with leadership to ensure timely communication across various platforms. He also contributed to client projects for startups, including website development and pitch deck creation.
As the co-founder of two podcasts, Andy has expanded his expertise in creative strategy and audience engagement. When he’s not working, he enjoys staying active and prioritizes fitness as an essential part of his life.
