Khevna Patel

Khevna Patel is a Research Support Specialist at the Illinois Institute for Rehabilitation and Employment Research. In her role, she supports grant-funded initiatives and research projects focused on disability, rehabilitation, and employment outcomes. Her responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and analyzing population-level data on individuals with disabilities and chronic health conditions, evaluating programs, and disseminating findings to stakeholders through reports, data visualizations, and knowledge translation materials.

Khevna brings training in public health and epidemiology, with expertise in data analysis, program evaluation, and community health. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the University of Cincinnati, where her work emphasized chronic disease research, health equity, and data-driven decision making.

Her professional background includes experience as a Public Health Program Coordinator, where she developed and implemented evidence-based health education and outreach initiatives, conducted program evaluation, and worked closely with community organizations to improve access to care and reduce disparities. She is passionate about using research and applied data to advance health equity and improve the lives of underserved and vulnerable populations.
