The Illinois VR Training Project is a comprehensive training program that assists the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation in meeting the requirements of the Workforce Incentive and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other training and skills focused on increasing the employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities throughout the State of Illinois. In conjunction with IDHS administration, the Illinois Institute for Rehabilitation and Employment Research develops specific training programs and resources designed to increase the capacity of vocational rehabilitation personnel to meet the evolving needs of individuals with disabilities as they seek to enter and/or return to the labor force.
